Double Digits (Happy Birthday, Eva!)

our beautiful 10-year old daughter Eva

Today is a very special day in the Garcia family ... it is the day we celebrate the birth of our beautiful eldest daughter, Eva Grace. Every birthday is special but this year is unique because Eva is officially moving into the "double digits" - yes, as much as I don't want to believe it, my baby girl is now 10 years old!

Where has the time gone?? The chubby-cheeked baby girl who was first laid in our arms at three months of age became the bouncing toddler with soft fine hair and the happiest temperament. Later she turned into a sweet young school girl who overcame her fears to form new and special friendships, and now she is on the very edge of stepping into the "tween" years right in front of our eyes.

Eva, my precious daughter, your name means "life-giver" and you were the first child to bring our family to life with your arrival. As a newborn you were our dream come true and as a young girl learning to become a young lady, you are the light of our life. We love you more than words can say and we will hold your hand through each new stage of your life, cheering you on to the wonderful future God has in store for you. Always remember that He is with you and He knows and will answer your deepest needs and fears. You are fearfully and wonderfully made by your Creator! And you are precious to us.

Happy Birthday to our beautiful 10-year old! We love you, Eva.

I can't believe it!!!
I can still picture her in her stroller as the guys each carried one end over the rough trail on our "Grand Canyon on PA" trip.
Happy Birthday sweet Eva!
