Our First Visitors to Iquique

Carla, Betsy and Cony

Our first visitors arrived to Iquique on Monday and we are enjoying the pleasure of their company! Betsy is our pastor's wife from Santiago, and she and her twin girls took the "scenic" route by bus to visit us for a couple of weeks while her husband is traveling in the United States. Our kids were counting down the hours until their friends' arrival, and between swimming, playing board games, and visiting the beach together they have not been disappointed!

These pictures were taken during yesterday's visit to Playa Cavancha. We went around 5 p.m. to avoid the harsh midday sun, and stayed until after 9 p.m. to enjoy the sunset and eat once on the beach. It was the first time Betsy's girls had been at the ocean that late at night and they thought it was such an adventure! Besides simply enjoying our visitors, we have also appreciated their being here and helping us during a hectic week of pursuing paperwork to replace what was lost with Pedro's wallet. We are thanking the Lord for the timing of sending us good friends! :)
