Our First Visitors to Iquique, Part Four

Another must-see in Iquique is Plaza Prat (yes, named after the aformentioned naval hero) with its artisan offerings and historic buildings. Isabel wanted to get a special braid like the other girls, and had fun picking the colors and beads for that. Betsy was looking for mementos to take home to family and friends, and I was trying to keep Eva from asking for everything in sight. :)

After arriving, we realized that there was a special event planned by the Municipal Theater in the open air around 9 p.m, so we quickly grabbed seats and decided to enjoy part of the show. We didn't stay until the end but it was quite interesting! The girls especially enjoyed watching the clock towers as the lights on it made it appear to change colors over and over.
