Well, it is morning at the hospital and we are waiting for breakfast. I wonder what it will be? Last night's dinner was quite remarkable - mashed potatoes, gravy, meat, fruit, bread and jello for Owen and steak wrapped in bacon, rice pilaf, bread, salmon salad with olive oil, and fresh fruit for the person accompanying him (that would be me!)
Owen and Mommy slept well through the night except for the every four hour's rendition of the "No quiere!" song when the nurses came in for nebulizer treatments. This morning, they took Owen off the oxygen temporarily but his saturation levels dropped even lower than yesterday - the one nurse said it is likely that he is saturating normally but that all the gunk he is coughing up in blocking ... something??
Already the television is back on and Owen is in Handy Manny land. We don't have cable at home, so all these channels are a treat for him. Forget trying to talk to him when he's watching, though - as the nurses have learned (of course, he prefers not to talk or see the nurses at all right now, much to their chagrin! When the new shift came on duty last night, all the new nurses found reasons to stop in just to take a look at their "super lindo!" patient.)
The boy is hungry and has decided he "doesn't like those guys" (ie, Handy Manny and friends.) Hurry, breakfast people, hurry ... :)

Hey Steph,
We are praying for you guys! Much love! Becky
I told Benjamin that Owen was in the hospital just like he had been, and he commiserated. I hope they can figure out what's up soon! Hang in there...how's Pedro holding up at home?
