Earthquake Update

This morning’s newspaper in Antofagasta reports two deaths, minor injuries and around 1,000 destroyed homes in Tocopilla, a small town dramatically described by the paper as being “isolated from the country and forgotten by the authorities as though it were not a part of Chile.”

While we praise the Lord that deaths and damages from the quake were so few, we also recognize that those that were affected are suffering and in need of our help and prayers. A missionary friend in Japan reminded me that the children especially need prayer, because though they may not have been injured they have experienced a fearful thing.

Thank you for continuing to pray for Chile.
