Eva's Baptism

Eva shares her testimony with Daddy and the church before her baptism

It seems only fitting to highlight a very special event in our family's life as the final post for 2012 (albeit written a few days into 2013!) That special event would be Eva's baptism at Faith Baptist Church in Wilmington, Delaware on November 25, 2012.

There were many unique factors that made Eva's baptism poignant, not the least of which was her Daddy baptizing her with her Pop-Pop also present in the baptistry. Just minutes before, her cousin Micah was also baptized. But most significant of all was simply arriving at this commitment after more than a year of Eva's wanting to be baptized yet struggling with her fears.

It was her overcoming those fears to follow in obedience and publicly share her faith in Christ and commitment to Him that made Eva's baptism such a momentous occasion, and one that we pray will deepen her trust in God Who is always faithful.

My greatest prayer is for my children to fall deeply in love with Jesus, and to courageously follow God's leading throughout their lives. I want to be able to truthfully say with the apostle John that "I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth." (3 John 1:4) Only in His paths will they find true joy and meaning for life!

Awesome! What a blessing to have all of those people around her that love her while she shares her testimony. Beautiful!
