All in a (Furlough) Day's Work

For posterity's sake I thought it would be interesting to post these two very different pictures depicting the same unique reality: furlough for children.

Tomorrow we head out bright and early (around 7 AM) for a two hours' drive to one of our supporting churches here in Michigan. We are looking forward to a special time with brothers and sisters in Christ who have prayed for us, financially supported us, and encouraged us during our first term in Chile.

 

Most likely, our kids will start out the day looking crisp and cheerful as in the picture above. Just as likely, they will end the day looking a little more like the picture below.

But as they say, "It's all in a (furlough) day's work!" :)
