Hope Is Fading

I watched this with Eva, Isabel and Owen tonight and it led to a really great conversation with the three of them. Apparently this movie was created as a senior project by a student at the University of Cincinnati. Of course, by the time we were done Eva was asking why we couldn't go out and adopt ten more kids! (She answered her own question with, "Oh yeah, because of the money and Daddy says no more!")

Despite being an animated story it is very real and touching. The comments on the video's website are also quite moving. One father even wrote: "One of my kids from China watched it and said he felt the same way when other kids were adopted before him."

That says it all.
