Meet Katie

I tried to think of a clever way of presenting Katie to you, but decided that someone else has already done it best. I would love for you to go read this post: There is someone I'd like you to meet.

Then, I would strongly encourage you to go read Katie's blog. You will be amazed. You will be blessed. You will be challenged and inspired. (Because Katie is no ordinary 20-year old, single young Christian woman!)

Then, if you'd like, come back and share your thoughts with me. I am still processing many of my own! I'd love to hear from you. :)

Stephanie - Thanks for linking me to great blogs. This gal is an inspiration. I only had time to "meet her" on the other blog and then read her first post, but I was already touched. It's amazing how we can get discouraged as moms because the enemy uses the world to tell us our jobs do not matter.

Here's what I wrote to her:
I have just come to your blog for the first time, Katie, but you have touched my mommy heart. I, too, am a stay at home mom and I hardly ever leave my "compound". I am sure I never will make as many meals or potty train as many as you, but our work...every bit of it is equally important to the Lord. He is pleased when we praise Him and see worth in potty training HIS children and dishes, etc.

When the enemy tells you that your current floor-sitting, potty training position is not worthy....remember that NOTHING we can do is worthy of the LORD, but that our God is a God of order and I know He is pleased when we mothers diligently potty train. Just take another moment and imagine what your home would be like if no one were potty trained!!!! Praise God for His plan to allow us mommies to do these life-changing jobs! Those girls will never be the same once you've dedicated this time to them. I suppose we as mommies are never the same either!

Stephanie, Thanks for finding my blog and linking to it. Your words are so kind.

Katie is an amazing girl. What I love about her blog is that I always find myself in awe of THE LORD through HER. She turns the glory to HIM which is what we are called to do. I love that spirit of obedience and humility.

I hope your blog friends find their way over to hers. It is worth the time!
