It's 1:45 a.m.

... and in the past half-hour I began cleaning my kitchen; left that behind to race up the stairs and check on the kids in the midst of a pretty strong tremor that I was sure would wake them (thankfully it didn't); received a phone call from Robyn, checking to see if we were okay (as it turns out she was doing dishes and laundry also, since their water was cut off most of the day - she said her son slept through the tremor but her oldest daughter had her little sister in arms and ready to fly down the stairs lickety split); returned to my kitchen; switched my laundry; and decided to call it a night.

Like I say, never a dull moment! :)
