... over this e-mail I received tonight. It's like rubbing salt into an open wound ... my two favorite treats in one - Dairy Queen Blizzard and Girls Scouts Thin Mint Cookies - and I can't have it! (There are no DQ's in Chile.) Waaaaaaaaaaaah!!

When I lived in Russia, I missed mint chocolate chip ice cream SO MUCH. Someone brought me some york peppermint patties and I tried to mix them into some vanilla yoghurt. The outcome was horrible. It tastes like mint and bananas.
I know what it means to miss your favorite ice cream flavors. Here in Sydney, in the grocery store, they don't have a quarter of the flavors from the States. So, I feel for you!
Hi Stephanie. I'm hoping to help you combat your tears. Check out this link: http://www.recipelink.com/cookbooks/2002/0452269954_1.html for how to make your own Blizzard. If you need a box of Thin Mints, I'll figure out how to get one and get it to you!! :-) We can support our missionaries in lots of tangible ways...right?
My news for you gets even better!! Check out this link http://www.recipezaar.com/33998 for the recipe for some Girl Scout Thin Mints. You can have Chile and a Thin Mint Blizzard, too. You'll just have to get creative!
Mint chocolate chip is one of my favorite flavors. I just got an e-mail coupon for this blizzard, so I will let you know how I rate it. I am an ice cream junkie, so it will be judged on a lot of experience!!! :-) But honestly, how can you go wrong with thin mints??? :-)
Hi Steph, I just wanted to let you know that after the softball game tonight your dad and I went to Dairy Queen and I ate a Chocolate Mint Cookie Blizzard just for you. It was really yummy so if one of those recipes works that you have received, you will enjoy it too. Love you very much, Mom
