Looking at Jesus

Last night I received this e-mail from my friend Melissa, for whom I have been asking you to pray. Please remember their family and hold them in your prayers as they walk through the difficult days ahead:

Dad passed away late this evening. My sister said that he just quit
breathing. I was able to talk to him this afternoon. He was not able
to respond, but mom was on the phone too so we talked about memories,
how much we love Dad, how much we know that he loves us and the
unimaginable beauty that he will be seeing soon when he sees our Lord.

We will be leaving tomorrow and arriving in Indianapolis late tomorrow
night. We do not know for sure the dates and times for the funeral
and viewings.

I think that I am still in shock and figuring out what I need to get
done in order to leave, so I am not sure that it has sunk in. I do
know that he is looking at Jesus and that is such a comfort.
