Hungry for Humitas!

Humitas (pronounced “oo-mee-tahs”) are corn, ground, cooked, and mixed with fried onion and spices. They are then wrapped in the corn husk and boiled. Humitas are commonly eaten with pebre and tomatoes, or with sprinkles of sugar on top. They are a special treat in Chile, only eaten in summertime.

They are very, very yummy!

I ate something VERY similar to this when I was in Brazil. It was a very tasty treat and we could order them either "sweet" or "salty". My mouth is watering!
