Pedro was asked to speak at a camp with a missions theme this week. He traveled to Pirque Wednesday - Friday nights and the kids and I accompanied him on the first night. That night, the meeting didn't start until around 9 pm and we arrived home at midnight. Last night there was a banquet prior to the meeting and so Pedro didn't even get up to speak until 10:45 pm! (Needless to say, he didn't arrive home until close to 1 am this morning.)
Besides speaking, Pedro also provided transportation for young people to and from the camp (a 45-minute drive each way.) I am proud of my husband for volunteering to assist in each of these areas and maintaining a positive attitude despite schedule changes and such. It was a challenge for him to speak publicly in Spanish to such a wide age group of campers (6-16 years old) and for him to remain mentally alert in a new language at such a late hour, but he did his best and I know He honored the Lord with his efforts!
