Pablo's Letter

Dear Friends,

We have wept. We are grieving. Ever since our little Sofia went to be in the presence of the Lord on Sunday night, we have missed her in every tear. It has only been three days since we held her and kissed her for the last time.

In the midst of our sadness, we have been touched by your love. We are so humbled by the overwhelming demonstration of love and care from all of you. Some of you have cried as if it was your own daughter. We thank you for loving us and praying for us. We will have a memorial service on Saturday at 2 PM at -----; it will be encouraging to have you with us.

Many of you have asked us what else can be done to help us. First, we ask you to continue to pray for us, that we will be strengthened in the strength of the Lord, and that God will refine us for his glory, knowing that suffering produces perseverance, character, and hope. Also, that the Lord will empower us to proclaim His name with passion, using our present tears as a means for the salvation of many.

We also desire to establish a fund in honor of Sofia’s life. At the present, we have been asking God to provide the remaining $300,000 that we need to start rebuilding our sanctuary which we lost to a fire two years ago. We desire to honor Sofia’s life by building the nursery in her memory. If you desire to donate any amount towards this fund, please read the directions at the bottom of this email.

The Lord promised that one day He will wipe away our tears; on that day, we will also see our little Sofia again, with our glorified bodies, free from suffering and death. Until that day, we will continue to cry in hope. We will still love our Lord, and serve Him with our lives. To Him alone be the glory now and forever.

Grieving with hope,
Pablo, Sara, and Alex M-----
