When my parents were here last month, Mom was the keynote speaker for a women’s conference. She spoke on the topic of “Having a Mary Heart in a Martha World,” using insights from her own life and study as well as from Joanna Weaver’s book with that same title.
My sister Jennifer was partly in charge of organizing the conference, and she also led the worship portion (including teaching a song she wrote herself) as well as reading selected poems, sharing a monologue, and performing a skit and providing special music. (The last two I did with her.)
It was a lot of fun to minister together in this way. Despite being gone from Chile for a number of years, Mom is still dearly loved by the ladies here. The ladies who participated enjoyed the excellent teaching, fellowship, food and of course, the craft time! The craft was a card created with rubber stamps and including a Bible verse related to the theme. All in all, it was a wonderful day!

I remember praying for your Mom back when we were in college because she was the featured speaker at a conference in Argentina and still, after 20 some years, was nervous about her Spanish.
That is so cool that they're still so involved with ministering in so many ways! Hooray for God's faithfulness and having fun serving Him! :)
