A yummy "asado" (cookout) is a must ...
Of course, Chilean rice (seasoned with garlic, onions, and carrots) is always a great side dish ...
"Papas con mayo" (Chilean potato salad, seasoned with lemon, mayo and salt)
"Ensalada chilena" (tomato and onion salad, flavored with oil, lemon and salt)
"Ensalada de habas" (I may be the only one in our family who likes this, but basically it is cooked broad beans, cooled and seasoned with lemon, salt and oil)
"Ensalada de palmitas" (canned palm hearts, drained and sliced and seasoned the same as above)
"Ensalada de apio y palta" (celery and avocado salad, flavored the same as above)
