... our unborn "surprise" (later named Eden) was taken home to the waiting arms of Jesus. A surprise that came and went so quickly, and in the midst of the pressures of packing and moving across the country so that there simply wasn't time to truly acknowledge that loss. A loss that didn't seem quite as great while we harbored the hope of adopting once again in the months to follow.
But those hopes were not realized, and somehow it was the losing of hope that brought the loss of Eden full circle.
So today I remember, and think of what might have been ... and what might still be.
Sleep sweetly, little one. And when you open your eyes, gaze into the face of Him that we all long to see.
You are loved. You are missed. You are remembered.
