After several very late nights/early mornings, hours upon hours of packing and the inevitably tearful goodbyes to family and friends, we hit the road around 5 pm on Thursday.
Seven hours later, about an hour north of Austin, we were ready to call it a night ... Now here we are finishing up baths and packing up again for the second leg of our trip to Tumbling Shoals, Arkansas where we will spend time with Pedro's mom and grandmom for the Father's Day weekend.
Thank you so much for your prayers for safety (and mental well-being in a crowded van with three children on a cross-country drive!) We appreciate them so much!
Until the next stop ...
(PS - The quote of the day was from Eva, upon finding out that she would be able to take a REAL bath after a year of only having a shower in our apartment ... She announced excitedly, "I haven't taken a bath in YEARS!!!")

How cute is Eva - hopefully this wasn't said in a crowded room of strangers. :) I'll be praying for you guys, your safety and sanity. :)
