Two years ago on April 12, 2005 we received a phone call that would change our lives immediately and forever ... a premature baby boy had been born in a hospital half a country away, and were we interested in becoming his parents? The story and pictures from that time can still be found on our family website (scroll down for the photos.) But the story of these past two years is simply that of a family made even more precious with the additional of a crazy, energetic little boy as brother to our two beautiful and unique girls!
We thank God daily for the privilege of being Owen's parents. And as we read of the tragic events that continue to ripple through Sudan, the country of his heritage (though not his birth) we are even more convinced that God has a very special plan for this little boy's life. We look forward to having front-row seats for whatever He calls Owen to do, and pray that we will have the wisdom and courage to guide him along the way!

Thanks for your comment on my blog. I definitely remember you at BBC and it's really cool to see how God has blessed you and Pedro. I'm still single, but there's someone "special" in my life for the first time and, regardless of what happens, it's fun. :-) God is good. "My cup runneth over . . ."
