Language School

Well, today is the day for registration, placement exam, orientation, and all those other good things that mark the beginning of a school year! Pedro is taking his Language Aptitude Test even as I write this. We are excited to finally be at this point in time, beginning an important and necessary year of our life in order to be fully prepared for our move to Chile next summer.

Please continue to pray for us as we transition into a schedule which is far different from the one we have lived over the past several years of pre-field ministry and travel! Last night, the girls were begging to stop for fast food on the way home from church, a Sunday night "ritual" during pre-field. I'm still not sure they understand that Wendy's is now a "special occasion" restaurant rather than a weekly staple of missionary life!

On the positive side, however, we do appreciate to a greater extent the simple blessing of being among the same church family week in and week out. We look forward to getting to know the people of Iglesia Bautista del Valle even better over the coming months. Pedro will be speaking this coming Saturday to the youth, and then on Sunday he will be preaching with his dad translating. But Lord willing, by the time we leave "the Valley" his translator's services will no longer be needed! (:

Love, Stephanie
