When Mom Gets Mad

My seven-year old son and twelve-year old daughter were sketching horses together on the living room floor tonight.  A sweet and infrequent moment of sibling camaraderie must have lent itself to heart-to-heart conversation, because this is what I heard.

OWEN: "When mom gets mad, she gets really, really mad. If she tells you to do something three times and you don't do it, she takes a big breath and yells, GO TO YOUR ROOM!"

You ever have those moments when you don't know whether to laugh or cry ...

PS - A short while later my son said to his sister in a loud conspiratorial whisper, "YOU KNOW MOM LISTEN TO EVERYTHING WE SAY."

And he's right! :)
