Rescuing the Chilean Miners

Along with most Chileans as well as people around the world, I spent tense hours last night watching as the amazing rescue of the 33 trapped miners began.

After a few short hours' sleep, this morning I awakened to watch once again. As I do so I am reminded of these verses from Psalm 139:

⁷ Where can I go from your Spirit?
Where can I flee from your presence?

⁸ If I go up to the heavens, you are there;
if I make my bed in the depths, you are there. (italics mine)

What an unforgettable reminder of God's power, grace and kindness!
