For the past two weeks, my sister Terri and her family have been on pins and needles awaiting a very important decision from their orphanage in Taiwan.
Why? Because a sweet two-year old little girl, diagnosed with cerebral palsy and bearing in her native language the name "Beautiful Jade," is waiting there for her forever family.
And my sister's family hopes so much that this forever family will be theirs.
Meanwhile they are raising the orphanage fee of $7,000 through a 100 Good Wishes Campaign so that they will be financially ready for her referral or that of the child God has chosen for them. This campaign "is based on the idea of the 100 Good Wishes quilt, a Chinese tradition that spans generations."
I wonder, would you consider making a "good wish" for their little Sophia (the name they have chosen to give to their special little girl?) By clicking a box on the "quilt" you may choose to give a donation of the size you wish, as well as leave a special message and even a photograph for the Fisher family.
We join Terri and Dave in praying that if God wills, this sweet little girl they've fallen in love with will be the one to join their family forever. When our daughter Isabel heard about "Beautiful Jade" her first reaction was, "Now I won't be the only one in the family!" meaning the only one facing special challenges of CP and therapy.
We know that Isabel would be her new cousin's number one fan. :)
