You Know You're an MK When ...

Isabel, Eva and the MK friend Kari

1. You feel odd being in the ethnic majority.

2. You speak two languages, but can't spell in either.

3. Your life story uses the phrase "Then we went to..." five times.

4. You speak with authority on the quality of airline travel.

5. You send your family peanut butter and Kool-Aid for Christmas.

6. National Geographic makes you homesick.

7. You don't know where home is.

8. Strangers say they can remember you when you were "this tall."

9. You go to a church you have never been in before and find your picture on their bulletin board.

10. You sort your friends by continent.

11. Your Mom scolds you in a foreign language.

12. When you move into a new house you take a gift to all your neighbors.

13. When earthquakes seem normal.

14. You actually look forward to the rare times the power goes off because it makes you feel nostalgic.

15. You marry another MK.
