English Ministry: Graduation

This year, we launched a new English ministry based out of our church in Iquique. From April to November, students met twice weekly from 8-10 p.m. for conversational English classes taught on an introductory and an intermediate level. Pedro taught the former, and I taught the latter.

It was an exciting challenge and a learning experience for us as well as for our students. One week ago we celebrated "graduation" with a diploma and gift given to each one who completed the year's study. Several of the students shared a brief comment in English, and overall it seems as though the opportunity to study in this context was valued and appreciated. We're thankful for the privilege to be a part of the lives of these men and women this year!
