... because Eva Garcia has started painting classes! Her first session was yesterday afternoon, and despite being a little timid in a new environment she had a blast. Unfortunately, the art supply store where I purchased her paints accidentally gave me a set of oils instead of acrylics (and I didn't think to check) so Eva might get a little messier than her creative counterparts.
The art teacher opened this school 19 years ago, and he is actually an artist and university professor in his own right. He teaches children from age 4 through adults. We chose to enroll Eva for the Friday session from 4:30-6:30 because at that time there is a smaller group of children and most are little girls. One of her classmates is an 8-year old who has been coming since age 4, and she does very good work! We are excited to see how God can mold this interest and talent of Eva's with the training she will receive here.
