at the MIM (children's museum)On Tuesday, we planned a special outing for the kids and some of their friends. Two friends - ABWE MK's Caleb and Hannah Amundson - arrived in Santiago after we had already moved to Iquique and so this was a first-time meeting but the MK "cousins" hit it off great! Another special friend, Andrea Rogers, is also a fellow ABWE MK and she and Isabel were classmates when we lived in Santiago. They were excited to "reunite" after six months apart!
Our itinerary included lunch at McDonald's, followed by a couple of hours at the children's museum. It was a little tricky keeping track of six kids since the museum was extremely crowded with families and tour groups who were also enjoying winter break. But, as you can see from the pictures we still managed to have lots of fun. :)
After the children's museum we hit the ice cream shop despite the cold and rain, and then headed to the Amundson's house for pizza and games. The kids were worn out by the time the day was done, but it was a "good tired." We're thankful for the chance to make such special memories during our time away and for the friends who shared their time and homes with us!
