Cats Beware!

My husband is not a cat lover.

He does not appreciate cat pawprints on his car windshield in the morning.

He does not appreciate cat pawprints on the girls' bathroom sink in the afternoon.

And he certainly does not appreciate ear-piercing cat squeals outside our bedroom window in the middle of the night!

Therefore, he devised an all-natural "stay away" device for the cats of our neighborhood. With a dash of creativity, a few servings of palm fronds, and a small heap of nails he proved himself to be a regular MacGyver! The "point" (pardon the pun) of his creation is to scare the cats away from our third-floor windows. We'll see how it goes! :)

Oh my goodness, Stephanie. When I click on your blog, i never expect to be startled by a scary looking face on Pedro. Can we say MILD CARDIAC ARREST???

Ron feels the same way about cats AND birds. He gets really bummed out at any sign of either. He's even taught our poor boys how to scare them out of the yard (and their skin, I'm sure). Really makes the neighbor (animal lover) mad. Oops....

Let us know how that goes, Steph! I can remember thinking a baby was crying on our front step in Santiago when the cats got going at night...quite unpleasant!

This is too funny and too familiar! It's amazing what we pass on to our kids! It's like looking in the mirror. I am amazed at the creativity in our son!
