We finished a busy, hot day of packing on New Year's Eva with a cookout and swimming at "Uncle Dewey's" house (Duane Cross.) The group consisted of our family, the Rubins, and our friends Daniel and Ibodne and Daniel's father who was visiting from Peru. We enjoyed good food (including grilled meat, lots of yummy Chilean salads and a death by chocolate dessert from Jenn) and fun, but unfortunately were so tired that we called it an early night and in our family's case everyone was asleep by 11:30 before the fireworks even began!
