100 Boxes and Counting!

Our move to Iquique is identical to our move to Chile in that we are required to provide an itemized list of all of our belongings to customs (because we are moving into an area with a duty-free zone.) We must have one list of all electrical appliances complete with model and serial numbers, and another list of numbered boxes and what is in each one. With the help of my sister as scribe and my brother-in-law as muscle and me as number assigner, we've gotten 100 boxes logged in so far today. It is r o a s t i n g here and several times I had to come inside for a breather because I was getting cold chills from the heat (can you say sunstroke??)

We are so thankful to those who are helping us in many ways. Today another missionary colleague headed over to Pedro's office to box up his remaining books, so we are truly in the end stretch. In a couple of hours the movers should arrive to begin preliminary wrapping of furniture. Thanks to everyone who is praying!!

Hang in there, Steph! It was great catching up with you by phone last night. I am really missing my sisters these days for some reason! Ah, the life of missionaries and missionary kids. Love you!

Hey ya, We are excited about what God is doing there and what He will be doing through your lives as you move. We understand all about the detailed lists, we just went through that has we moved into Mexico a few months back.
Take care, Carena keeps asking when she can go visit her friends in Chile. :)

I didn't realize that you had to itemize again, I thought maybe this time would be a little easier. Praying for you. The end is in sight!

If anyone can strive on thru it is you Stephanie. Just a little bit longer and you will be in your new house awaiting what God has for you. What is too bad is that it has to be so hot while you are doing it.
