I am here to share yet another prayer request.
We have gone (and are still going) back and forth, back and forth on our schooling decision for the girls when we move north. Homeschool?? Chilean school?? There are pros and cons to both.
But if we go the homeschool route, we need to be purchasing curriculum in the very near future so that (hopefully!) we might be able to have it arrive here in Chile via another missionary family's shipping container.
So I would like to ask first of all for prayers for wisdom and secondly for any schooling suggestions out there. (Just for background, currently the girls are doing ABeka at their MK school.)
Thanks so much!!

My dear Stephanie
Maybe i am the last person that needs to write to give consejo, pero I have heard so many times prayers about this. first, I want to tell you to listen to your children. Second and i know you are doing this pray. Chilean schools are soo competitive that they hurt our kids instead of helping them. have you talked to the valencias? they had a very tough time trying to find a school for their girls!!!. SCA was a God send for them. I should have listen to Camila when she asked me to home school her. If i looked back it might have saved us a lot of grief if I had done it. i know i am not a fan of homeschooling but sometimes is the best.
Hi Stephanie,
We have a mutual friend who reads both our blogs (Rebekah), and when she saw this entry of yours she emailed me and asked if I would visit your blog and perhaps make myself available to answer questions you may have about curriculum as you ponder the homeschooling route. We are in our 8th year of homeschooling and have used a variety of different curricula during that time. Homeschooling is not for everyone, but it has been a tremendous blessing to our family, giving us more time together (a precious commodity almost anywhere these days!) and the opportunity to tailor their education to each of our childrens' strengths and learning styles. Depending on what your daily ministry commitments are, there are a wide variety of choices that could work well for your family - some curricula was even originally written for missionaries! If you would care to discuss further, you can email me at gglc_pam@yahoo.com. (this is my "junk" email, but I do check carefully before deleting junk!)
Many blessings as you pray and decide,
Pam
