Doctors, New 'Dos & Dilemmas

*9:30 pm edit*
At the doctor's visit we were told that Owen's leg is healing very nicely - so nicely, in fact, that it appears it will not need to be re-set after all. He will continue wearing his big blue cast for at least another week and a half. He will have x-rays and another office visit next Thursday and then the following Monday. So good news (healing nicely) and bad news (big blue cast stays for now!) For the record, Owen went ballistic when the doctor tried to examine him today so please pray he responds better next time!

We're heading to the doctor (traumatologist) this afternoon for an x-ray and follow up. Hopefully we'll learn how Owen's injury is doing and what to expect with his cast in the near future.

In preparation for his doctor's visit, we gave him a new hairdo! Actually, we had planned to do this upon our return from Haiti as the warm weather hit but his accident delayed it a bit. Daddy did a good job of giving Owen a nice clean shave (he has such a cute litte head!) Owen saw this picture as I was typing this post and said excitedly, "Mommy! That's me with my blanket! Thank you, Mommy!" Too funny.

In other news, Isabel had a really rough day at school yesterday and we are keeping her home to make up the work she didn't complete and consider whether we need to make some changes in this area. Prayers for wisdom are appreciated!

What a neat haircut Owen. I am sorry you have to wear a big cast but the dr will help it get better. We are praying for you.

Praying for the family in the Isabel decision. God never said parenting would be easy. My kids are all grown up and have kids of their own but parents still can impact lives. I know God will direct your path in this

Owen I am sorry you have to be in a cast. But the drs. will help make you all better. We will pray for you.

Stephanie - it is never easy being a parent. Trust me when I say once a parent always a parent . I am sure God will give you and Pedro direction in doing what you need to do for Isabel's best interest.

I am glad that Owen's leg is looking good, and hoping that the rest of his time having to wear a cast will go fast for him.

Praying also for your decision with Isabel. Remember whatever you decide you are not signing a contract for life, you can make changes again if you need to.
