Another Doctor's Visit

... and we were told that Owen's leg is healing so well that the break is barely noticeable on his latest x-ray. Praise God! We were not told how much longer he must stay in his cast, but we have another appointment on Monday and hope to find out more then. People are constantly asking us how Owen is doing with this confinement of sorts, but honestly he has surprised us with how mellow he has been about it for the most part.

He daily alternates between watching cartoons, playing with his sister's Leapster (guess we need to get him one of his own now!), drawing on one of those magnetic-type pads, and coloring. Actually, he has gotten pretty adept at coloring while laying down and holding the book and crayon up in the air! If nothing else, these past two weeks have given him a chance to really work on his fine motor skills. :) And for the most part he has had a good attitude with some occasional whiny days thrown in.

I will tell you, though, this boy knows how to sweet-talk to get his own way. Tonight he said to me, "Mommy, I want to hold you!" (meaning he wanted me to pick him up) and to further cajole me he quickly added, "You are so beautiful!" with the sweetest little loving voice he could conjure up ... and yeah, of course I fell for it like I do every time. :)
