When I broke the news to Eva today that Mom-Mom and Pop-Pop would be leaving tomorrow, her first reaction was dismay. "Why does our grandmom and grandpop have to leave all the time? I wish they could stay for a whole year!"
Mom-Mom responded to Eva's disappointment by coming over to spend an afternoon with her granddaughter. They read together, studied spelling words, and even did a craft together (Eva's all-time favorite activity!)
I snapped pictures and enjoyed the sight of the two of them working side by side.
These are the moments we treasure ...

Steph,
I almost started crying when I saw the post. I think it is so neat that your mom could and would come and take the time with Eva. I will be praying for Eva tomarrow as your mom leaves.
Love,
Cathy
I'm so glad your mom had an afternoon to come relax and enjoy a day with Eva. I know she misses you all greatly and doesn't take lightly the opportunites God has given her to come back to Chile often and spend time in ministry and with her children and grandchildren. Thank you for letting us see their two beautiful smiles.
This makes me delighted! Grandparents are the best, aren't they? Truly, they are my favorite kind of people on the planet : )!
