VBS Stories, Part Two

It's confession time.

As fun as Vacation Bible School looks with all those great pictures and smiles and costumes, I have to admit that I was not very excited about participating at first. In fact, on the first day my attitude was downright stinky. It was noisy; it was chaotic; we had 36 wild and crazy 3-to-6 year olds crammed into an 8x14 foot room!

It was definitely an exhausting - but in the end, exhilarating - adventure. From Friday afternoon, to Saturday morning and afternoon, to Sunday morning and afternoon, we shared Bible stories, snacks, games, and singing with children of all ages. An all-time high of 110 children on one day alone for our little church! Each and every one of those children heard the gospel at least once over the course of the weekend, and many prayed to accept Christ as their personal Savior. Most exciting of all, on closing night six parents made decisions for Christ!

All the planning, praying, preparing (and perspiring!) was well worth it to see children and parents reached with the gospel. To God be the glory, great things He has done!
