Cranking Up the Stress Factor

We just realized that our visas for Chile expire three days before we arrive home from Haiti.

This ain't a good thing, folks.

This means a trip downtown with the entire crew at 8:00 in the morning tomorrow is a must.

This means requesting an extension of our visas because there is no way we can do all the paperwork required for our permanent residency requests before we leave.

This means the fact that Friday is a national holiday is especially problematic.

This means that what we were told was going to happen for us to apply for residency (ie, we'd receive a letter in the mail with the necessary documents to fill out - which is why we didn't look into this earlier, because we were naively waiting for them to arrive) did not happen.

This means, welcome to Chile ... where paperwork is king and you need papers from at least three different offices in three different parts of a city of six million people to even present your application.

This means, most of all ... we appreciate and need your prayers more than ever!

Ughhhh, Steph! I got this sick feeling in my stomach when I read this. But we've seen how God works in your life and I know that he can pull this one off too. You will definitely be in my prayers.

oh I am surely praying. I know a hint of how hard it is to get these visas renewed, extended, etc so will surely be praying that God will work in super marvelous ways and show His power once again on your behalf as He has so much in the past.

May the God of all peace guard your hearts and encourage you during this stressful time.

All I can say is that our God is bigger than any mountain of paperwork. We need only the faith of a small mustard seed to move that mountain. He controls EVERY LITTLE DETAIL and He's proven Himself faithful!!!!!!

We faithfully pray on...
