Celebrating a Job Well Done

We wanted to make the end of this school year special for the kids, as we know they faced many changes and challenges with leaving the United States and finding their way in this new home and country of Chile.

In hopes of accomplishing that something special, we took them out to eat at Benihana, a Japanese restaurant where the food is cooked right in front of you amidst lots of fun tricks by the chef. They loved it! I wish I had a picture of Owen's face. The girls were wide-eyed, but Owen was laughing and cheering and trying to imitate the chef's abilities with his own two chopsticks. I told Pedro that we had better keep the knives safely put away once we got home!

I am thankful for our three beautiful children. Spending the afternoon with them in this way, with no time restraints or schedules to keep, just enjoying being together, was such a sweet reminder of how special each one is and of how I need to slow down and really cherish them each day.

Eva, Owen, Isabel ... Mommy and Daddy love you very much!
