Okay, this doesn’t sound like the nicest topic to explore. And I promise, I won’t spend too much time on it. But it is a fact of life in Chile, so I must address the issue!
The real problem is the pollution (maybe I should have entitled this “a BIG thing called SMOG”) which wreaks havoc on the respiratory system. Allergies and sinus infections and upper respiratory problems abound. And so do boogers!
Every time I complain about them, my husband informs me that my nose is simply doing its job, keeping out the dirt and dust. I suppose he’s right, but it still isn’t comfortable. And that is all I will say about that! :)

Been there...know just what you mean, Steph!
I have also been there... you know I acctually went to cerro san cristobal by the zoo on a air pollution warning day and after a deep breath at the top I blacked out and needed to be taken down... not a very fun experience
