I can hardly believe that our baby boy is turning 3 years old today. I remember so clearly the minute we first set eyes on Owen laying in his isolette in the NICU ... so tiny and all alone. I remember my eyes filling with tears of joy to finally hold this longed-for child in my arms. I remember the days and weeks of spending almost every waking minute in his room, feeding him through first through tubes and then through bottles, and holding him tenderly against my skin. I remember celebrating each new step he took towards leaving the hospital and having our whole family together once again.
Three years have gone by in a blink of an eye, leaving behind hundreds of happy memories. Owen has truly filled our home with a type of laughter and energy that we did not know before. He has a zest for life that attracts us all to him, and we can only imagine what the future has in store for this very special little man!
