Prayer Letter - Pedro's Parents

These past couple of months have been difficult ones for Pedro's parents in their ministry. We received their latest prayer letter today and I wanted to share it here, asking your prayers on their behalf as well!

January 2008
Dear Friend and Family,
Ephesians 6:12 “For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.”
As we look at this verse and contemplate as to what it says, we have never felt more the attacks on us as a family these past weeks. Satan will use all means to discourage from concentrating on the Lord’s work.
We made a trip to Michigan taking part in First Baptist Church of Rochester Christmas in Thanksgiving. We came away very blessed, being fed spiritually and emotionally. Within a matter of three weeks we encountered and spiritual attacks from all angles.
1. Kathy hurt her back and was put on complete bed rest for indeterminate time.
2. The air conditioning/heating unit in our home wore out.
3. The secretary/treasurer of the church resigned from these positions and the family distanced themselves from the church.
4. Our intern finished his ministry and moved to Tennessee. It was saying goodbye to family once again.
5. Missing our children during the holidays knowing that both families were out of the country.

Needless to say, during these times we spent many a night, hugging, crying, and praying as a family asking the Lord to give us the strength to face the following days. The needs are still there, the problems have not yet been resolved, we are still facing difficulty, but we are alive, we have a roof over our head, we are together as a family, we love the Lord, He continues to love us giving us the strength to get up each morning, and we continue to press forward. We thank you for your prayers and for your financial support each month. We still have a lot of work to do, so please continue to pray for us.
