Then Now Always

Slumber parties. Secrets. Crushes. Heartaches. Laughter. Tears. Fun times. Sad times. Welcoming home. Saying Goodbye … all these and more could describe my life as a teenage missionary kid in Chile many years ago. Through it all, there were a handful of friends living through all these experiences right along with me. Several of them have remained my friends for life, and though we don’t see each other often our lives are forever intertwined with memories, dreams, and hopes we share.

One of these friends recently came to Chile for a week-long missions trip led by her husband and including a work team of men and women from their home area in South Dakota. We had last seen each other about three years ago, but it was like picking up right where we left off when we met for dinner at a restaurant last week. Our time was just too short. She now has five children, lives in the States and homeschools, but a part of her heart is always here.

Thank you Alisha, for being a friend then … now… and always. GOD bless!

You're welcome, Steph. Thanks for being the kind of friend that lasts through the years and the miles!
