Evidences of Love

The girls and Pedro stopped by the grocery store on their way home from school today. When they returned, Isabel told me they had bought a "surprise" for my birthday tomorrow. As she was speaking, she picked up a little card from the bedside table and innocently added, "It's not the same as this one, though!"

Later on, I found "evidences" of other secrets around the house - phrases scribbled on a cardboard box in our bedroom (where the girls and Daddy hid for awhile this evening), and a bouquet of flowers on the dining room table after the children were sleeping.

Maybe turning 31 won't be so bad after all ...
