Please PRAY for Pastor Manuel Lagos

Dear Praying Friends,

A long-time Chilean pastor and family friend, Pastor Manuel Lagos, was unexpectedly diagnosed with a rapidly growing brain tumor a week and a half ago. He will be having surgery tomorrow (Monday 1/21) at 8:00 AM Chilean time - which would be 5 AM Texas time and 6 AM Michigan time. The family has been advised that there is a very real risk of Pastor Lagos dying from complications to this operation. They have asked for all of us to pray along with them. The following is a (translated) portion of an e-mail from Jonathan, Pastor Lagos' son:

Our confidence is in Christ, though the outlook is very discouraging ... even if it is within the plans of God that my father depart this world we will receive this with gratitude, nevertheless your prayers are necessary because we do not have the strength to face such a great trial. I am at peace, and ask God that I might maintain that peace and be a support to the women of our family, for this I count on your support in prayer.

Thank you for praying for a faithful servant of God – also your own brother in Christ across the miles, though you may not meet until Heaven.
