I was recently introduced to the lyrics of a song entitled "Glory Baby" which was written by a husband/wife musical team who lost two babies to miscarriage. As the year 2006 ended, I found myself dealing with "what if" thoughts about the baby we lost in July. I would have been entering my third trimester of pregnancy as we began the new year, with a due date (as best we can estimate) in March 2007. I imagine these thoughts would have been with me regardless, but somewhat less poignantly, had we adopted in the fall as we had hoped and anticipated.
The lyrics are beautiful, however, and I thought I would share them here. My favorite line is this one - " I can’t imagine heaven’s lullabies and what they must sound like" ... how thought-provoking, because truly! how beautiful the lullabies of Heaven must be to a child's ears.

Glory baby you slipped away as fast as we could say baby...baby...
You were growing, what happened dear?
You disappeared on us baby…baby...
Heaven will hold you before we do
Heaven will keep you safe until we’re home with you
Until we’re home with you
Miss you everyday
Miss you in every way
But we know there’s a day when we will hold you
We will hold you
You’ll kiss our tears away
When we’re home to stay
Can’t wait for the day when we will see you
We will see you
But baby let sweet Jesus hold you ‘till mom and dad can hold you
You’ll just have heaven before we do
You’ll just have heaven before we do
Sweet little babies, it’s hard to understand it ‘cause we’re hurting
We are hurting
But there is healing
And we know we’re stronger people through the growing
And in knowing-
That all things work together for our good
And God works His purposes just like He said He would
Just like He said He would
I can’t imagine heaven’s lullabies and what they must sound like
But I will rest in knowing heaven is your home
And it’s all you’ll ever know, all you’ll ever know…

Just letting you know that I'm thinking of you today. I loved your family pic at the beach. Is this recent? We're cold here at about 20 some degrees and snow. But hey, we live in Michigan!
Smiles and blessings,
jennifer
Thank you for the song. After a year of trying we found out baby #5 was on the way, however, at only a little over a month later we found out we lost it. THe song was very neat and gave me hope for another baby. My oldest is still praying for another sister.
