Cute story

Now I am ready to share that adorable story! This morning we attended an all-school social for the missionary language school and Bible institute students at RGBI. At one point, I was in the back of the room with several other moms and children (who were very tired of sitting still!) A little boy, whose parents had recently been introduced as newcomers from Ecuador, approached Owen. He looked to be only about two years old. The little boy reached out and ran his hand down Owen's arm, then looked at his fingers and said thoughtfully: "Manos sucias?" ("Dirty hands?") Next, he rubbed his hand across Owen's cheek and said to himself: "Cara sucia?" ("Dirty face?") Then he walked slowly away, and I laughed as I realized I'd witnessed the little guy's first introduction to a black person. He was just curious, but it was so cute!
