Adoption Update - Homestudy Visit

I am very happy to report that our visit with the social worker for our adoption homestudy update went really well today. It is such a relief to have that done! You would think with the number of times we have had these studies done, it would get easier. However, we have yet to do a study with the same social worker twice! - and you never know where the SW is coming from until you actually meet and talk. The kids were very excited to have someone over at the house. Of course, that excitement led to some "interesting" behavior, such as Isabel running into the living room waving a toy gun that her grandparents gave to Owen over the weekend, yelling: "I've got a gun! I've got a gun!" AND Owen trying to stab the SW with the pole end of the little "horsey" they bought him as well! Fortunately she had a good sense of humor, LOL!

I am also thrilled to share that yesterday we received word that we are recipients of another adoption grant, this time through Shaohannah's Hope. God has been so good to us! Next week, we will send in the final paperwork and the monies that will make us truly "official" with our adoption agency. PLEASE PRAY with us for these coming days, weeks, or months as we wait for the child we believe God has in store for our family. And thank you so much to those who have been praying already!

Love, Stephanie

It is so good to finally hear from you. You bet we will be praying for this new family member, and for all of you, too, as you wait for him to arrive. Mary Beth
