Children and Heaven

I received an e-mail from a dear friend who lost a child to miscarriage last year, and in it she made the comment that our children are playing together in Heaven now. I was thinking about this when a Bible verse came to mind ... of Jesus saying, "Let the little children come to Me ... for of such is the kindom of Heaven."

Today, I read a statistic that in the USA alone, 600,000 women suffer miscarriages each year. Imagine how many hundreds of thousands of miscarriages there must be world-wide then ... and on top of that, consider the millions of unborn children lost through abortion each year around the world. If you think about it, there are literally millions of children born into Heaven each year.

Could it be, then, when Jesus said of children, "of such is the kingdom of Heaven" He was describing Heaven as it truly is? With millions of children in all their youthful exuberance and innocence surrounding the throne of God and bringing joy to His heart? Wow ... What an awesome thought!
